Vacation Bible School

July 2024 marked a busy yet fulfilling time for the Life Christian Fellowship children’s ministry. This year’s Vacation Bible School was held at our LCF church and was attended by kids ages 5-12. Church volunteers transformed the hallways, rooms, and sanctuary into a wonderful underwater world. Kids imagined themselves being underwater and seeing God’s creation at sea. They were in teams- playing and learning together about how we see God’s love around us.  Jesus said to let the little children come to Him and that is why the ministry worked hard to prepare and pray for the children. Some of the volunteers were once spectators themselves and now were group leaders. But why is this so special? God has a special heart for children and to grow in God’s knowledge and understanding is our hope for the future leaders. Yet our work is never done. We continue to pray for the children that they will grow and be strong in their faith in Jesus no matter what circumstances we may have.

Youth Camp

Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

This verse was the theme for this year’s youth camp held at the Alpine Retreat Camp in Blue Jay California. This was almost a year long preparation for the youth ministry as they prayed and did fundraising for the youth campers. The campers included 13-college aged youth.  God had graciously provided for the needs of the campers and the youth leaders and to that, we are  truly grateful. More so, we were blessed to have our youth leaders who were once former campers themselves, now sharing God’s word and reaching out to our younger youth. The campers had time to worship, ponder on God’s word, pray and connect with each other. There is also time for fun and laughter during activities and ice breakers. The youth ministry continues to meet regularly and the bonds that were shared during the camp continue on as they support and pray for each one.
